The mod was praised for tackling a difficult subject matter with care and sensitivity, offering players an educational experience wrapped within the engaging gameplay of The Sims 4. However, like any third-party modification, it wasn't without its bugs and compatibility issues, which led to a call for a fix.

Sims become unresponsive, or interactions fail to work.

Julian nodded. The "Jealousy" trait that had been artificially inflated by the bug was reset to its base value. The "Domestic Discord" mod was gone, replaced by the "Domestic Recovery" patch.

Using these, a player can “fix” the missing story by not having a dedicated abuse button, but by simulating the aftermath and recovery.
