After winning the war, the Priests were forcefully disbanded by the church, left to integrate into a society that no longer wanted or respected them. The story kicks into gear when the protagonist, known simply as Priest (Paul Bettany), discovers that his niece has been abducted by a newly evolved pack of vampires led by Black Hat (Karl Urban) [1]. Defying the strict orders of the Church's high council, Priest breaks his vows and ventures out into the dangerous wasteland to rescue her, joined by a wasteland sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a former Priestess (Maggie Q) [1].
