The 2015 Lady Chatterley's Lover may not be the most famous or the most awarded adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's masterpiece, but it holds a significant place in the story's long cinematic history.
The story begins in 1913 with the marriage of Constance Reid to the wealthy aristocrat Sir Clifford Chatterley. Their initial happiness is shattered when Clifford returns from the Great War severely wounded, paralyzed from the waist down, and impotent.
