The concept of watching TV shows with subtitles, also known as "extensive viewing," has gained significant attention in the field of second language acquisition (SLA). Research suggests that extensive viewing can positively impact language learning, particularly in terms of vocabulary acquisition, listening comprehension, and cultural understanding (Krashen, 2003; Pauwels, 2016). Moreover, studies have shown that subtitles can facilitate language learning by providing learners with visual and auditory cues, thereby enhancing their comprehension and retention of new vocabulary and grammatical structures (d'Ydewalle & van Ranst, 1992).

Kenan İmirzalıoğlu is considered one of the "Kings" of Turkish drama. Watching Aci Hayat offers a chance to see him in his prime, in a role that established his signature style of playing intense, brooding, yet deeply romantic heroes.
