Released theatrically in May 2013, Chhota Bheem and the Throne of Bali was the second theatrical release for the franchise, following Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan (2012). Directed by Rajiv Chilaka, the film took the titular hero Bheem and his core group of friends—Chutki, Raju, Jaggu, Kalia, and the Dholu-Bholu duo—out of their fictional North Indian village of Dholakpur and dropped them into a stylized, mythical version of Bali, Indonesia.
