The tension culminates in one of the most tragic moments in Hindu mythology: . Daksh organizes a massive ritual, intentionally excluding his daughter and son-in-law. Unable to bear the insult to her husband, Sati sacrifices her life by leaping into the sacrificial fire (Yagna Kund). An enraged Shiva unleashes his fierce form, Virabhadra , who beheads Daksh. Later, at Prasuti's pleading, Shiva revives Daksh, who finally realizes his folly and repents.
