On older Android operating systems (like the Jelly Bean 4.1 running on the LT26i), Google built in a safety net that is almost non-existent on modern phones for security reasons.
Input the primary Gmail address and password associated with that specific phone.
Launch the program. Do not connect your phone yet. Click on Software Repair on the main dashboard.
